Condition Survey for Capital Investment Planning

Commissioned to support the theatre’s capital investment programme, our team carried out a comprehensive condition survey covering over 10,000m² of flat roofs. This important work included a detailed breakdown of the maintenance and renewal works required over the next few years, informing strategic decision-making for the preservation of this landmark site.

Designed by the renowned architect Sir Denys Lasdun, the National Theatre was completed in 1976 and stands as a bold example of Brutalist architecture. Love it or debate it, there’s no denying its significance. As a hub for performing arts in the UK, its preservation is essential—not just for London, but for the nation’s cultural heritage as a whole.

This project required a deep understanding of heritage architecture, asset lifecycle planning, and meticulous survey methodology—something our team was proud to deliver.

Projects like these remind us why we do what we do: safeguarding the legacy of our built environment while helping our clients plan with confidence for the future.
